If you are looking for ways to show your gratitude to those who've lost their lives while defending our country, please know that the Greater Rochester Memorial Day Committee is hosting 2 separate programs to honor veterans.
The first event will take place at Mt. Avon Cemetery, located at 2nd Street and Wilcox Street, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a second program at Veteran Memorial Pointe, located at 1015 S. Livernois Rd, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
There will not be a parade in between the two programs; however, an exploratory Greater Rochester Memorial Day Parade Sub-Committee has been formed. If you are interested in assisting either the committee or sub-committee, please call Mary Modetz at Potere-Modetz Funeral Home (248) 651-8137 or email her at mamo36@aol.com.
