The Parks Department is responsible for:
- Overseeing and maintaining the seven parks that serve both intensive and passive recreational needs
- Maintaining the portions of the Paint Creek Trail and Clinton River Trail which are within the City boundaries
- Overseeing a comprehensive right-of-way tree program in the City
